WE-CARE: An ECG-Based Telemedicine Cloud Platform
The WE-CARE platform performs real-time monitoring on cardiac patients with a portable device we designed ourselves. The device collects physiological signals by sensors and then transmit data through wireless network to backend infrastructure. The platform allows doctors to check their patients anywhere anytime through the website.

The multi-media stream player is designed for Home Health Care, in order to save the cost on in hospital monitoring and break geographical limit. It can display information from four paths: real-time camera, on-line file, local video/audio, and physical signal.

The Best-fit Carrier Dial-up (BCD) algorithm is designed to provide guaranteed bitrate for multimedia medical contents in mobile network. For large bandwidth requirements, carrier aggregation in LTE-A network is used, and the algorithm can utilize bandwidth provided by carrier aggregation while remain time-sensitive for healthcare services and improve spectrum efficiency.

The idea is to use intimate social network to recommend healthcare information within friends and family. The trust issue has been great gap between patients and doctors in China, and this application aims to rebuild the trust by using the Chinese social custom when consulting a doctor. The project is still under construction.
